Program description
With a Bachelor’s in Social Communication, you will learn how to navigate the world of traditional or digital media effectively and in a responsible way. Whether it’s social networks, citizen journalism, crisis and organizational communications, algorithms or data collection, you will gain knowledge of the theoretical concepts that will allow you to analyze various communications issues while taking into account their political, economic and cultural aspects.
To stand out professionally, you will learn how to combine the power of an image and the power of words in an ethical way. You will develop strategies and communications plans that include effective tactics and solutions. You will also develop your written communication skills as you explore various fields such as marketing, advertising and public relations, which will help enrich your career.

Any creative person who has a keen interest in language, who is fascinated by the inner workings of communications and who wants to break new ground in a constantly changing media environment.
Internship options
During your studies, you will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience through two internships.

Registration: full-time or part-time
Program length: 8 trimesters or 4 years (full-time)
Program delivery: some courses are also offered online.
Language: this program is also offered in French.
With the Honours B.A. in Social Communication, the student can choose a complementary minor or major, based on their interests and needs.
