About the Hub

Through the Student Success Hub (SSH), Saint Paul University has established a role specifically dedicated to student support, providing guidance and assistance throughout their university journey. This initiative aims to offer personalized follow-up and concrete help to maximize students’ academic success and well-being. The goal is to ensure that every student has access to the resources they need to successfully navigate their academic and professional life, while addressing their unique needs.

The Hub’s role includes several key missions:

Academic and Administrative Support:
This role involves guiding students through their academic and administrative processes, helping them navigate the many resources available at the university, addressing challenges they may encounter, and ensuring their well-being during stressful periods, such as exam time.

Career Services and Professional Development:
Support also includes assistance in finding internships, as well as coaching on résumé and cover letter writing, and interview preparation. This guidance helps students develop professional skills and effectively prepare for the job market.

Facilitating the Integration of New Students:
A key aspect of this role is helping new students integrate smoothly into university life. This includes campus orientation, connecting them with student groups and support services, and helping them become familiar with digital tools and academic practices.

Personalized Follow-up for Persistence and Success:
This support also takes into account the personal or social challenges some students may face, such as financial difficulties, mental health concerns, or time management struggles. The dedicated role ensures that each student can access the resources needed to overcome these challenges and stay on track with their studies.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI): Celebrating Our Differences, Strengthening Our Community

At the Centre for Student Success and Well-Being, we firmly believe that our differences are our greatest strength. Each identity, experience, and perspective helps build a university community that is stronger, more compassionate, and more united. Together, we make the Centre a place where diversity is celebrated, equity is a priority, and inclusion is a daily reality.
