Saint Paul University is proud to announce the appointment of Mélodie Sorrell as Vice-Rector, Administration. Her first day in office will be Monday, July 27.
“I am honoured to join this dynamic university community,” shared Ms. Sorrell. “I look forward to contributing to the implementation of its ambitious strategic plan by supporting its mission and strengthening efficient administrative practices in service of academic excellence and the student experience.”
As Vice-Rector, Administration, Ms. Sorrell will be responsible for financial governance, the modernization of administrative and technological systems, and the planning and sustainability of the University’s physical and digital infrastructure. As part of this mandate, she will oversee the departments of Human Resources, Financial Services, Facilities Services, IT Services and the Multiservices Centre, and the Events and Reservations Office.

About Mélodie Sorrell
Ms. Sorrell brings a strong background in operational and financial leadership across both municipal and post-secondary institutions. In her most recent role, she served as Director of Operations and Human Resources for the Municipality of Casselman, where she holds a senior management role overseeing administrative, financial, and operational governance, while supporting strategic planning, risk management, and process transformation.
Ms. Sorrell also spent 12 years at the University of Ottawa in financial management, operations, and institutional project management, where she played a key role in implementing major ERP systems and harmonizing administrative practices. Her career reflects her integrity, her thoroughness, her openness to change, and a culture of continuous improvement.
