The Mission Statement for Pastoral Services states that as disciples of Christ, “we are called to participate in the ministry of humanizing the values” of the Gospel by giving it a human face through the service of Chaplaincy. This is to be achieved through the basic attitudes of welcoming, serving and celebrating by serving all denominations and faiths. Thus, the chaplains provide services to students as well as to members of the faculty and other departments. They are open to all, especially to the most vulnerable and anyone who is in need of support, guidance and a listening ear. Everyone is warmly welcomed with a non-judgmental attitude and respect. As the face of the campus is constantly changing and evolving, they try to communicate through bilingual and even multilingual services.
A chaplain is on duty in Room G28 (inside the Oasis) Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Our chaplains come from a wide range of backgrounds, including the Jesuits and the Community of Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, as well as the Anglican Church of Canada, in the true spirit of ecumenism and dialogue. Please feel free to drop in anytime and experience the joy of being deeply loved by God.
