Orientation

All incoming international students are invited to attend an orientation session to obtain key information regarding their studies at SPU.

In this info session, we’ll introduce the city, our university and everything you need to know to start your studies this fall.

To welcome all of you to the SPU community, we invite you to join the community table for a BBQ.

We’ll be serving up pulled chicken and pulled jackfruit sliders, along with salads, chips, beverages and a dessert. We’ll also have activities ready for your enjoyment.

All are welcome, simply present your SPU student card (if you don’t yet have your card, you can show your course timetable as proof).

To mark the start of academic year, the Faculty of Canon Law is hosting a welcome reception for all of its students and professors on campus. This will be an opportunity to meet your professors, staff, and peers within the faculty. Light refreshments will be served.

The Jean-Léon Allie Library is hosting a series of virtual Lunch & Learns to help you start your studies on the right foot. Sessions will cover topics such as academic writing, how to prepare for exams and how to make the most of library resources.

To celebrate the beginning of the academic year, the Faculties of Human Sciences and Philosophy are hosting a meet and greet for students and professors in the faculties. Refreshments will be served.

Dean Michel Andraos invites new and returning theology students to get to know the faculty! This is a great opportunity to meet your peers and chat with professors. A light lunch will be provided.

Join us to celebrate and bless this new academic year! The Opening Mass will be celebrated by the Most Reverend Marcel Damphousse, Archbishop of Ottawa-Cornwall and Chancellor of Saint Paul University.

Following mass, everyone is invited to join a reception in the Multipurpose Room (Guigues Hall).
