Information Session for International Students
All incoming international students are invited to attend an orientation session to obtain key information regarding their studies at SPU.
In this info session, we’ll introduce the city, our university and everything you need to know to start your studies this fall.

Escape Room in the Library
Step into an exhilarating 30-minute escape room adventure! You and your team (max 4 people) find yourselves locked in the library filled with hidden clues and mysterious locks. With the clock ticking down, you must work together to solve the challenges and escape from the library. Each moment is crucial as you race against time to escape. Can you think quickly, communicate effectively, and unlock the door before the timer hits zero?

To help you kickstart your academic year, we’re offering free beverages an hour before your morning and evening classes. Simply present your SPU student card at Café Urban and grab a coffee before class.

The Great SPU Feast
To welcome all of you to the SPU community, we invite you to join the community table for a BBQ.
We’ll be serving up pulled chicken and pulled jackfruit sliders, along with salads, chips, beverages and a dessert. We’ll also have activities ready for your enjoyment.
All are welcome, simply present your SPU student card (if you don’t yet have your card, you can show your course timetable as proof).

Meet & Greet: Faculty of Canon Law
To mark the start of academic year, the Faculty of Canon Law is hosting a welcome reception for all of its students and professors on campus. This will be an opportunity to meet your professors, staff, and peers within the faculty. Light refreshments will be served.

Lunch and Learns: Jean-Léon Allie Library and Archives
The Jean-Léon Allie Library is hosting a series of virtual Lunch & Learns to help you start your studies on the right foot. Sessions will cover topics such as academic writing, how to prepare for exams and how to make the most of library resources.

Opening Mass
Join us to celebrate and bless this new academic year! The Opening Mass will be celebrated by the Most Reverend Marcel Damphousse, Archbishop of Ottawa-Cornwall and Chancellor of Saint Paul University.
Following mass, everyone is invited to join a reception in the Multipurpose Room (Guigues Hall).
