About the symposium
The 2026 Symposium of the Réseau de la recherche sur la francophonie canadienne (RRF) asks the question: Caring and well-being in Francophone communities — where do we stand?
Francophone communities are facing major shifts — amplified by their minority status — including the acceleration of daily life, the questioning of institutions, ideological polarization, and the fragmentation of francophone identity. These phenomena leave little room for caring. The symposium examines how francophone universities and organizations can foster cultures of caring, inclusion, and well-being.
Researchers, practitioners, and community organizations are invited to submit proposals for round tables, presentations, and workshops on the following themes:
- Caring — for whom? Obstacles and blind spots in implementing care principles
- EDI policies in the minority context of la francophonie
- Diversifying communities and the challenges of caring in intercultural relationships
- Inclusive leadership and welcoming diversity
- Workplace justice and equity in organizational policy
- Organizational practices fostering well-being, belonging, and personal flourishing
- Approaches fostering collective intelligence and social innovation through relational cultures
