Luc Fournier Appointed as Secretary General, Governance and University Life

Saint Paul University is proud to announce the appointment of Luc Fournier as Secretary General, Governance and University Life. His first day in office will be Monday, July 27.

“I am honoured to join Saint Paul University and to contribute to its mission of fostering thoughtful, engaged leaders grounded in human dignity and the common good,” shared Mr. Fournier. “I look forward to supporting strong governance, strengthening our university community, and advancing the University’s bold vision.”

In this new role, Mr. Fournier will be responsible for matters related to university governance (regulations, coordination of the Board of Governors and its committees) and will also oversee the Indigenous Centre, Pastoral Services, and the Student Success Hub. He will also serve as the administration’s point of contact for student associations and clubs.

About Luc Fournier

Mr. Fournier brings extensive experience in public administration and communications. In his most recent role, he served as Chief of Staff and Secretary of the Commission at the National Capital Commission, a role that closely parallels that of our Secretary General.

Mr. Fournier’s career experience includes senior roles in several prominent federal institutions, including the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and the Canadian Museum of Science and Technology. He has also held communication leadership roles at the National Capital Commission and served as Director of Communications and Public Relations at Collège La Cité.

Beyond his professional career, Mr. Fournier has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the Franco-Ontarian community through over a decade of service on the board of directors of ACFO Ottawa.
