Saint Paul University Puts People First in New Strategic Plan

News, Press releases

Saint Paul University is proud to share its 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, a framework that will guide the University as it seizes opportunities and faces challenges all while keeping the human experience at the heart of everything.

Developed through extensive collaboration with students, faculty, staff and partners, this document reflects the University community, its values and its aspirations.

“It is a challenging time for the post-secondary sector, but we are choosing to be bold in our vision for our University and proudly demonstrate the unique academic experience we offer,” shared Louis Patrick Leroux, Rector of SPU. “Our strength remains our person-centered approach. By working collectively and uplifting our community, we have the innovative ideas, knowledge and experience to lead Saint Paul University to its full potential.”

The strategic plan is anchored by three main pillars:

  • Commitment and Care
To foster a climate of trust that promotes well-being and personal and professional development.
  • Agility and Growth
To embrace change by modernizing academic offerings and responding to emerging needs, all while preserving core strengths and ensuring continuity.
  • Aim for Our Full Potential
To establish the University as a leading institution where people can thrive.

The strategic plan is already being put into action with various projects and initiatives — including the creation of the Student Success Hub, establishing new research chairs and developing innovative academic offerings.

Moving Forward Together

Consultation with the community was essential to the development of the plan, and this reflects a university that is both committed and collaborative.

Over the next few years, each school, faculty, and service is invited to contribute by identifying performance objectives, measuring progress and implementing new collaborative initiatives.

Through this collective effort and shared vision, the University strives to achieve excellence in education, research and as an employer, while extending its knowledge and expertise in service to the broader community.
