Yeshica Umaña, LLB, JCL
Yeshica Umaña, LLB, JCL, holds a Law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Licentiate in Canon Law from San Dámaso University, Madrid, Spain. She recently defended her doctoral dissertation in Canon Law and Catholic Theology at Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid and the University of Erfurt, Germany, under a cotutelle agreement. She serves as an Academic Research Assistant at the Chair of Canon Law at the University of Erfurt. Her dissertation examines the procedural status and rights of victims of clerical sexual abuse within the Catholic Church’s canonical penal system.
