The Annual Symposium of the Centre for Informal Dispute Resolution (CIDR) at Saint Paul University will take place on May 11–12, 2026, in Ottawa and online. Under the theme Navigating Crises: The Evolving Role of ADR Practitioners and Ombuds in Turbulent Times.

This event will bring together practitioners and scholars to explore the growing complexity of conflict in contexts shaped by systemic inequalities, the erosion of trust, and competing values.

The symposium will feature keynote speaker Bernie Mayer, a well-known practitioner, professor, and author, who will address the tension between neutrality and principled action in conflict intervention during challenging times.

The symposium will be held mostly in English, with some bilingual sessions. We offer great student rates for registration!
