Profile

With a multidisciplinary background combining law, political science, geography, and urban studies, I am particularly interested in studying the relationship between territory, public policies, and conflicts in the context of neoliberal globalization. My research focuses specifically on the dynamics of violence against women and vulnerable groups, from a comparative perspective that contrasts, through the theory of scale shifts, the dynamics and relationships between the global and the local in the production of policy and conflicts.

My research and teaching are closely connected to the community leadership of women and racialized minorities, as well as to social movements and the defense of territory. I have integrated action research and the political ontology of territorial rights from a decolonial perspective into my research and teaching projects.

The design, implementation, and evaluation of social intervention projects and programs are empirical data sources that I aim to develop to contribute to decision-making for various organizations and community leaders.

I have worked at different universities in Canada and Colombia, and teaching is a passion for me.
