Céline Mavounza is an assistant professor at the School of Counseling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality. As a psychologist and a member of the OPQ and CPO, she has developed an expertise in the assessment and treatment of psychological trauma. Her main research interests include the efficacy of psychotherapeutic approaches in the treatment of psychopathological disorders, as well as caregiving for elderly people with neurocognitive disorders. Her current research focuses on the role of ethnicity and culture in dementia caregiving.
