Anne-Camille Hardy-Chartrand
Writing advisor | Jean-Léon-Allie Library and Archives
What is your title and how long have you been at Saint Paul University?
I am a Writing Advisor and I have been working at Saint Paul University since 2017.
What does your work consist of?
I support students throughout the writing process and help them navigate their transition to university. Depending on the student, it can mean helping them understand their professors’ instructions and expectations, discussing an assignment’s structure, or reviewing syntax and grammar so that their words convey the right message. The goal is to provide them with the right tools to become the best writers they can be.
I also help out with the library’s communications and manage its social media accounts.
What is your academic/professional training?
I hold a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies, a certificate in social and public communications, and a master’s degree in communications.
What do you like most about the library?
That there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a spot away from all the hustle and bustle, a comfortable sofa, a standing desk, or a pod, the library has it all.
What tip would you give our students?
Read! Reading makes us better writers.
What do you find most interesting about the library?
That all the articles, books and even movies we might want are only a few clicks away. That’s truly invaluable!
