Profile

Myriam Lavoie-Moore is assistant professor at Saint Paul University and co-director of the School of Social Communications. Her research interests focus on the role of technology in the valorization and devaluation of lives, bodies and the work of care. Recently, she has been working on issues related to the development of artificial intelligence in healthcare, reforms to the Quebec healthcare system and the acceptability of inequalities in the face of death.  Her approach to research dissemination focuses on media outreach, scientific popularization and community involvement.

Myriam Lavoie-Moore is also a researcher at the Institut de recherche et d’informations socioéconomiques (IRIS), a member of the Centre de recherche interuniversitaire sur la communication, l’information et la société (CRICIS), a member of the Groupe de recherche et d’information sur la surveillance au Quotidien (GRISQ) and an affiliated member of OBVIA.
