Matthew McLennan
Matthew R. McLennan is Full Professor in the School of Ethics, Social Justice and Public Service at Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Canada. His areas of expertise include ethics (particularly ethics of memory and the intersection of ethics and aesthetics), social and political philosophy, and philosophical anthropology. Themes of vulnerability, care, and the ethical salience of play (play theory) and aesthetics are pervasive in Matthew’s academic work. Outside of academia, he is a guitarist and sound artist with decades of experience performing and recording in a range of genres from Americana folk to free improvisation and noise.
