I have been working as a Collection Development Librarian since March 2008.
What does your work consist of?
I select resources for the library in a variety of formats (books, e-books, periodicals, DVDs, e-databases, among others) that support teaching and research in all areas of study in our university. I also teach workshops on different library tools, provide research help, and answer all types of reference questions.
What is your academic/professional training?
I have two master’s degrees: one in theology and one in library and information studies. My B.A. is in philosophy and theology.
Can you tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
I love to travel and experience different countries and cultures.
What do you like most about the library?
Our students! They are very inquisitive and passionate about their research. They always inspire me with their curiosity.
What tip would you give our students?
Make the library your home! Use library collections and spaces and don’t be afraid to ask questions if you feel stuck or lost in the process of research. We can help you navigate the world of information with confidence and success!
Can you tell us an interesting fact about the library?
We have access to more than 1 million electronic books via the library catalogue.
