Quebec Native Women – Saint Paul University Summer School: Stories of Empowerment

Press releases

On October 15, 2021, at the 53rd Algonquian Conference, the Indigenous women leaders, speakers and organizers of the 2018 QNW-SPU Summer School hosted a roundtable discussion in which Marie-Louise Perron, the SPU Knowledge Keeper, participated.

The purpose of the roundtable was to share the transformative experience of the 2018 QNW-SPU Summer School and to encourage reflection on this form of action-study to effect real change in the lives of the participants.

The videos of the roundtable, Quebec Native Women – Saint Paul University Summer School: Stories of Empowerment, are now available online.

The Algonquian Conference is an international gathering for researchers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds and members of Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. The roundtable was a great success and helped to put Indigenous women leaders, QNW and SPU on the world stage.
