Profil
Catherine E. Clifford est Professeure titulaire de théologie systématique et historique. Ses recherches et ses publications sont focalisées principalement dans les domaines de l’ecclésiologie, l’œcuménisme, ainsi que l’histoire du concile Vatican II. Ses intérêts se portent tout specialement sur les questions de la conversion et du renouveau des églises, le développement des doctrines, l’unite et la diversités des confessions chrétiennes au sein du mouvement mondial du christianisme. Ces questions sont d’autant plus importantes aujourd’hui étant donné le rôle de l’église en pleine mutation vis à vis la société. Catherine est une prof dynamique qui aime bien s’engager avec les étudiants venant des tous horizons. Ces cours explorent les évolutions de la théologie et de ses méthodes en réponse a des grandes questions d’actualité.

Madeleva Lecture, Saint Mary’s College, University of Notre Dame. The Madeleva Lecture is named for Sister Madeleva Wolff, CSC, who served as President of the College from 1934-1961. Her many accomplishments include the establishment in 1943 of the School of Sacred Theology, the first institution in the United States to provide graduate education in theology to women. The lecture series named in her honour has for over three decades given voice to women scholars in the discipline of theology.
