Since it’s establishment in 1974, The Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre at Saint Paul University has been dedicated to excellence in training future therapists while serving the mental health needs of our community with compassion and professionalism.
In its connection to the School of Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality, the centre strives to:
- Provide accessible and inclusive counselling and psychotherapy services in both official languages, ensuring respect for diversity and equity.
- Facilitate experiential learning and professional development for counselling interns enrolled in the Master of Arts and Doctoral programs.
- Promote collaboration and innovation in research to advance knowledge in counselling, psychotherapy and mental health.
- Educate and raise awareness about mental health and well-being, fostering resilience and reducing stigma within the community.
