The Saint Paul University Alumni Development Office welcomes new work-study student

The Alumni and Development Office is pleased to announce the first-ever hiring of a student from the Saint Paul University work-study program, Ms. Zahra Jafer.

“The first time I stepped into Saint Paul University was to pick up a form from the Student Services Centre. Although I never did find that form, I acquired both a B.A. and an M.A. in Conflict Studies instead. I have been at SPU for six memorable years now. Aside from the interdisciplinary nature of the curriculums, this institution creates a space of engagement, friendship and interaction between its employees, educators and students. Saint Paul University students graduate with not only a degree, but also a heightened ability to think critically and see current affairs through a broader lens, and a curious spirit inspired to bring about positive change.”

Zahra is currently completing the second year of her master’s program in Conflict Studies. She brings many years of administrative experience in the public and private sector, as well as in academic environments. Zahra started work officially on October 1, 2018, and will be assisting with various tasks around the office on a part-time basis. Please join us in welcoming Zahra to the team.
