Reading week :  No classes  October 22 to 28
Study Break :  No classes and no final exams 7-Dec
Holiday break: University closed. December 22, 2017 at 5 p.m. to January 3, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. 
Changes to regular course schedule
Classes on Monday, October 9, Thanksgiving (a statutory holiday), are cancelled. They will take place on Wednesday, December 6, when the usual Monday course schedule will apply. 6-Dec
Enrolment, courses, withdrawals and reimbursements
First day to enrol  23-May
Last day to enrol and to change course selection 22-Sept
Last day to change student status (regular/auditor) 22-Sept
Last day to request leave of absence (graduate studies) 29-Sep
Last day to withdraw from a course or an activity and receive a financial credit, less administrative fees. The deadline to receive a reimbursement for the ancillary fees associated to a course may differ and even be earlier. Withdrawing from a course may affect whether you will meet all your program requirements. Be sure to consider all changes very carefully before going ahead. The date may differ for some faculties and programs, so please confirm date with your academic unit. 29-Sep

Grades and exams
Exam period: Exams are scheduled during the day and evening, on weekdays and on weekends. December 8 to 21
Official final grades for the Fall term posted online 18-Jan
Official academic standing posted online 25-Jan
Last day to submit a grade review for a final exam. For information about reviewing grades and appeals, consult academic regulations.  1-Feb
Tuition fee payment
Last day to pay tuition fees without late payment fees. Consult Payment of fees on the Financial Services website. 23-Aug
Student services
U-Pass distribution August 28 to September 15
Last day to apply for a U-Pass exemption 29-Sep
Last day to opt out of medical or dental insurance plans 30-Sep
Reports, major research papers, and theses (graduate studies)
Last day of the Fall term to submit a thesis without having to enrol inthe Winter term 31-Aug
Last day to submit a thesis and receive a 100% financial credit (applies only if you are enrolled exclusively in the thesis and were also enrolled in the previous term). Submission by this date results in the cancellation of your enrolment for the current term. Credit not available if you are submitting a revised thesis 6-Oct
Last day of the Winter term to submit a thesis without having to enrol in the Spring-Summer term.  22-Dec
Making changes to your program (undergraduate studies)
Period to make changes to your program for the Summer 2018 term. Oct 2 to November 30
