Enkelejda Sula-Raxhimi, professeure adjointe à l’École d’études de conflits, est une anthropologue spécialisée en anthropologie politique. Ses intérêts de recherche portent notamment sur les questions de migration et déplacements forcés – dus aux conflits et aux changements climatiques, questions de pouvoir et abus de pouvoir, de violence politique et ethnique, de genre et conflits, et sur les minorités roms. Elle a mené des enquêtes ethnographiques sur le terrain en France, Kosovo et Albanie.

ECS 2124 - Local and Community Responses to Conflict
Conflict is always experienced at a community level, whether its source is local or international. This course identifies and examines the many different ways in which local or community level actors respond to the causes and effects of violent and non-violent conflict in their midst.

- Theoretical concepts to understand the dynamics of religious and ethnic conflicts. Application of these concepts to particular situations. Religion, ethnicity, gender, class, and other identity signifiers. Human identity needs, mimetic theory, and structures of domination. Ethno-nationalist movements and victimization.

Ce projet de recherche, subventionné par le programme du Développement Savoir du CRSH (2020-2022), s’appuie sur une approche ethnographique pour examiner comment les dynamiques du déplacement s’entrecroisent avec les changements climatiques, la violence et les contestations politiques en Haïti et comment affectent-elles la vie des populations déplacées.
