It has been four months since Pope Francis’s visit to Indigenous People in Canada. We have all had a chance to process the experience and reflect on what it might mean. Donna and Peter will share how their reflections have developed since September, when they last shared some reflections on the meaning of the visit.
As part of larger groups, Donna and Peter participated in the papal visit events in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and Edmonton, respectively. They will share how they experienced those parts of Pope Francis' visit, their impressions of the other parts they watched online, and then reflect on the visit as a whole.
Their reflections will focus on the positive (healing) and negative (colonization) aspects of the overall event.
