Objectives: On August 2, 2014, Pope Francis appointed a Special Commission for the Study of the Reform of Matrimonial Processes in Canon Law. Father Francis G. Morrisey, O.M.I., Professor emeritus of the Faculty of Canon Law, Saint Paul University, was a member of this commission. The results of this commission’s work have now been made public with the promulgation of the motu proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus on September 8, 2015. |
