Workshop 2: OGS and SSHRC Scholarships ($15,000 and $35,000)
For students in the last year of their MA, and doctoral students
Goals: To encourage graduate students to apply to governmental organizations (federal and provincial) for scholarships. The scholarships that will be presented during the workshop will be the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) program and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) doctoral scholarships.
This workshop is for students who are in the last year of their MA or doing their doctorate. Eligibility criteria for scholarships, their monetary value and the special characteristics of each one will be explained in detail. At the same time, pointers and helpful advice for effectively completing a scholarship application will be presented.
