Things are hopping on campus!

Things are hopping on campus! Starting on Tuesday, October 2, until Wednesday, December 5, 2018, circuit training and Kundalini yoga classes will be offered free of charge to the entire University community.

Circuit training: get your afternoons off to a strong start!

More and more popular among physical fitness buffs, circuit training allows you to improve your cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, balance and flexibility. The key to success for this kind of training? Stay focused during the session and do the exercises safely and at a level of intensity that matches your abilities.

 

When?                  Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.
Where?                In the Multi Room
What to bring?    Sports clothing and footwear, a bottle of water, yoga mat and towel

About your instructor

Nadine Tremblay is a long-time mountain biking and combat sports enthusiast. This small but mighty woman with boundless and infectious energy has years of experience in kick boxing (GOLD level, 1st degree), jiu-jitsu (purple belt, 1st stripe) and Thai boxing. She continues to study jiu-jitsu and Thai boxing and has even started to teach Thai boxing at her dojo. We suggest you do what she tells you! ;0)

 

Kundalini yoga: refuel with zenitude!

Kundalini yoga is done on a mat or a chair at your own pace. In addition to increasing flexibility, muscle tone, balance, concentration and memory, it activates blood and lymphatic circulation. This discipline combines postures, movements, stretching, breathing exercises and meditation to allow you to attain a deeper level of consciousness.

When?                Tuesdays from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.
Where?               In the Multi Room
What to bring?   Comfortable clothing, yoga mat (optional)

About your instructor

With internationally recognized certification in Kundalini yoga instructor training and Breathwalk (as taught by Yogi Bhajan), Meherbani’s main goal is to offer aspiring yoginis an instructive and inspiring experience. She offers her services in various forms (satsangs, classes, workshops, training, retreats and pilgrimages to India, personal consultation, and coaching in English, French and Spanish) – mainly in Canada and India, but also in the United States, Japan and Cuba. She also teaches prenatal yoga and yoga for children, stress management, addictions relief, and resilience following trauma and for first responders.

IMPORTANT: At each session, all participants must sign a consent and release form.
