The next generation of Seniors shakes things up
When: November 7, 2017 - 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: L120
Janet Torge currently wears the hats of a television documentary producer, bookkeeper, archivist and prenatal teacher. In past careers, she’s been a radio talk-show host and traffic reporter, Montreal Gazette columnist, author, construction site manager, software manual creator and co-founder of the first rape relief centre in Canada.
Radical Resthomes was conceived when her friends put her in charge of their senior housing some 30 years ago. The vision has changed considerably since then, and Janet has aged - along with everyone else - but she never lost sight of the idea and is determined to foster more and more self-directed housing projects in the future.
THE NEXT GENERATION OF SENIORS SHAKES THINGS UP explores how new concepts of housing and care-giving can change the way we see and experience our last life chapters.
