Smudging Ceremonies
Graduates and their families are invited to participate in a smudging ceremony as part of Saint Paul University's graduation celebrations.
DATE: Friday, June 17
TIMES: 8:30 a.m to 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
LOCATION: Indigenous Centre (G1141)
An important part of First Nations and Métis cultural heritage, this ceremony includes the burning of tobacco, sweetgrass, cedar and sage - plants that are sacred to Indigenous Peoples.
One should prepare to enter any ceremony with good intentions.
Please RSVP by sending an email to indigenous@ustpaul.ca. If you have an allergy to tobacco, sweetgrass, cedar or sage, please let us know in advance.
