VIRTUAL CAMPUS

 

1. How do I get my passwords for my student accounts?

uoZone: Fill-out the Service Desk Request Form or contact the Information Technology department at the University of Ottawa at 613-562-5800, ext. 6555.

Brightspace: Your Brightspace password is the same as your uoZone password.

 

2. What is uoZone?

uoZone is the portal for University of Ottawa students, BUT you need to access it to create and manage your student email account. Because Saint Paul University is federated with the University of Ottawa, your email address ends with @uottawa.ca.

Why is it important? Saint Paul University communicates with you at this address.

TIP: Check your email every day so you don’t miss an important notice. Make sure you are receiving new messages on your mobile phone.

 

3. What is uoCampus?

uoCampus is the portal through which you can access and manage a number of student services, including

  • Course registration
  • Tuition fee invoices and billing information
  • Personal information
  • Unofficial transcripts

 

4. How can I access uoCampus?

To access uoCampus, click here.

 

5. How do I attend my online courses?

All of your course information and content is available on Brightspace, your virtual campus platform.

All communication and all notifications of new content are sent to your @uottawa.ca student address.

 

6. How do I access Brightspace?

To access Brightspace, click here. The login information is the same as for uoZone.

TIP: You can download the Brightspace Pulse app and easily access this virtual campus on your phone!

 

 

ON CAMPUS

  

1. How do I get my student card?

You can obtain your student card from the Office of Admission, Registrar and Student Services (G168). To book an appointment, click here. Be sure to bring your student number and a piece of valid photo ID with you.

 

2. How do I connect to the WiFi on campus?

On the SPU campus, you can access the “eduroam” wireless network.

Username: The first part of your @uottawa.ca address

Password: The same password as for your @uottawa.ca account

3. Where are the Teaching, Learning and Technologies Services (TLTS) located?

The TLTS are located in room G020.

If you require assistance from the TLTS, you are encouraged to call 613-236-1393, ext. 2234, or to visit their webpage.

 

4. Where is the University library?

You will find the Jean-Léon Allie Library and Archives on the first floor of Guigues Hall.

 

5. Where can I get coffee on campus?

Located in Guigues Hall, Café Urban is your on-campus stop for beverages, snacks and a rotating menu of lunch options

 

6. How can I contact the Student Association (SPUSA)?

If you have questions about student health insurance, U-PASS or other student services, SPUSA is here for you!

7. How do I get exempt from the U-PASS?

First, please verify that you meet the exemption criteria which is available here.

Next, you will be required to submit your completed exemption form to upass@ustpaul.ca by January 30, 2024. Please note that submitting an exemption form does not guarantee that your exemption will be granted.

 

8. What is the schedule for the shuttle (UO/SPU/UO)?
