New to SPU? Take part in Orientation 2018!
September 4 to 7
The 2018–2019 school year has begun, and for many students, it’s an exciting time. Whether you come from Acadia, Toronto or Kinshasa, whether you are doing your bachelor’s or your master’s, you probably have a thousand and one questions. That’s why we created Orientation 2018: four days of activities designed to help you get your bearings. Step 1: Get organized! Start by gathering everything you need for a successful back-to-school: health insurance, passwords, transit pass, parking permit, Wi-fi, etc. Need to pay your tuition fees? Access your uoZone account? Plan your trips around Ottawa? This is the time to sort out all the little details that will make life easier. Don’t miss: • The orientation session for international students, Tuesday, September 4, 9 am to 2:30 p.m. in the Multi Room.

Step 2: Break the ice
Get to know the people who will be part of your day-to-day life in the years ahead: your professors, your classmates and the various support teams. Throughout the week, you can chat with everyone in a festive atmosphere. Don’t miss: • Room escape, at various times on Tuesday, September 4 (duration: 45 minutes; sign up at the Library; eight players per team). |
Step 3: Find answers Orientation 2018 is an opportunity for you to get to know better the resources you will need during your studies: our employees, our facilities and our services. Don’t be shy – come see us and ask us questions. We’d be happy to answer them or to direct you to the right person! Don’t miss: • Our ambassadors, whom you can go and see anytime during the week at the Donors' Recognition Crossroad or at the reception, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The activities listed below are just a few of the things that are happening on campus during Orientation 2018.
