New Catholic Chaplain, Fr. Lin Atipo, Joins Pastoral Services
Ottawa, Monday, November 6, 2023 — The community of Saint Paul University and the Pastoral Services team are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Fr. Lin Atipo, our newest chaplain.
Ordained as a priest on June 26, 2005, Fr. Atipo pursued a Master of Arts degree in counselling, psychotherapy, and spirituality at Saint Paul University from 2012 to 2015. During that time, he also served as a chaplain to the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa and the Institute of Saint Joan of Arc. From 2017 to 2022, he collaborated as a priest at Saint Joan of Arc Parish in the Diocese of Trois-Rivières.
Fr. Atipo’s presence in our community brings a strong spiritual presence, and we are privileged to have him as a chaplain. We look forward to his guidance and wisdom as he continues to touch the lives of those he encounters.
“We are confident that Father Atipo's unique skills, compassion and dedication will enrich and strengthen our ability to meet the diverse needs of our community, said the Vice-Rector, Governance, and Secretary General, Carole Breton. The Pastoral Services team looks forward to working alongside Father Atipo in the years to come.”
Our chaplains. F. Atipo, Catholic, and Margo Whittaker, Anglican, provide services to students as well as to members of the faculty and other departments. They are open to all, especially to the most vulnerable and anyone who is in need of support, guidance, and a listening ear.
You are invited to meet Fr. Atipo at the Oasis.
