Masks on Campus
The City of Ottawa’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Vera Etches, has announced that wearing masks is now mandatory in all enclosed public spaces.
Even though Saint Paul University is not a public space as defined by Ottawa Public Health, we endorse the wearing of masks in common indoor spaces on our campus, such as hallways, stairways, washrooms, and elevators.
Therefore, all members of our University community are now required to wear a mask while in common spaces inside buildings.
Personal offices are not considered common spaces, and therefore the current protocols remain in place.
The University’s phased-in approach with the help of its Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) for a safe return to campus is aligned with public health directives and ensures that the health and safety of our community are our top priority.
