International Symposium on Democracy, Global Citizenship and Transformative Education

Saint Paul University professors will be participating in the UNESCO DCMÉT International Symposium on Democracy, Global Citizenship and Transformative Education. This is an international conference that focuses on discussing and exploring contemporary issues at the intersection of debates in democracy, global citizenship, and transformative education.

The general public is also invited to attend all the workshops and conferences, free of charge and in real time. Among the workshops and conferences, there are sessions on the following themes: discrimination of ethnic groups (e.g. African immigrants living in Canada), on the realities of Indigenous peoples and education, on environmental education, social justice, intercultural challenges, eco-responsibility, democracy, global citizenship and transformative education, etc.

Psycho-spiritual reflections of three eco-pedagogues in the making

NOTE: This session will be presented in French only.

Brought together around a common concern "to heal the soul to heal planet”, three colleagues from Saint Paul University will share the fruits of their reflective group approach spanning a period of several months. Driven by the desire to work for the integral development of the person, their distinct expertise and complementary (psychology/psychotherapy, transformative leadership and group support) converge towards a marked interest for interpersonal relationships and interdisciplinary approaches incorporating spirituality. By sharing their reflective approach to group, already initiated under the theme of an interdisciplinary trialogue on the development of the practitioner in eco-pedagogy, they will from the contributions of colleagues from other disciplines (i.e. philosophy, ethics, depth psychology and wisdoms indigenous).
