ECPAT International believes that every child has the right to live free from abuse and exploitation and that we all have a responsibility to create the circumstances that allow them to be safe and thrive. In that spirit, ECPAT is currently reviewing what is already being done in order to address safeguarding concerns in the capacity building of new recruits joining the churches, and mobilising key institutions to be part of an advisory committee. This discussion will help taking stock at the relevance and interest in developing a training architecture to integrate permanent mandatory skill-based modules on child protection that are adapted to the specific operational contexts of future church leaders and community actors.
