INPLFP - Program ParticipantThis program is offered in partnership between Kateri Native Ministry of Ottawa and Saint Paul University through the Providence School of Transformative Leadership and Spirituality and the Centre for Religious Education and Catechesis.

Now in its ninth year, this program is designed to empower participants to exercise pastoral leadership and ministry in their home communities. Beginning with two days on the land, the program explores connections between Indigenous spiritualities and Christian faith through a number of topics in liturgy, worldview, religious education and pastoral ministry.

This five-day program is part of a three-year cycle of the “The Way of the Good Life” or Mino-bimaadiziwin through the themes of Belonging, Purpose and Direction. This year’s theme is “Purpose.” Participants register for the program one year at a time.

This program is for Indigenous people who are interested in education and faith formation for pastoral ministry. Non-Indigenous persons who are serving in Indigenous communities are also welcome to join us.

Participants can register for this program in one of two ways:

  1. Regular registration: Participate in the full week and receive an attestation at the end.
  2. Credit option: Take the IPA 2124 IPL course and participate in the full week and receive 3 undergraduate university credits.
