Dr. Chantal Beauvais’ Mandate as Rector of Saint Paul University is Renewed
Saint Paul University is pleased to announce the renewal of the mandate of Dr. Chantal Beauvais as Rector of Saint Paul University, has been renewed.
The Most Reverend Terrence Prendergast, SJ, Archbishop of Ottawa and Chancellor of the University, confirmed that the Congregation for Catholic Education has approved the renewal of Dr. Beauvais’ mandate as University Rector.
Since her appointment as Rector in August 2009, Dr. Beauvais has steered Saint Paul University through a period of major transformation and renewal. Under her direction, the University has worked actively to expand its academic offering, improve the quality of the student experience, strengthen its international presence, and update its internal administration. Backed by a team of outstanding staff, faculty and community partners, Dr. Beauvais has achieved noteworthy results, particularly in terms of the University’s increased visibility and student enrolment, both of which have shown a steady upswing since 2013.
Dr. Beauvais intends to continue to provide solid leadership throughout the implementation of the 2014–2019 Strategic Plan, and to highlight human capital and innovation in establishing SPU as a model of a humanitarian academic institution that supports and promotes positive change in the world.
The University community extends sincere congratulations to Dr. Beauvais and looks forward to the next years under her leadership.
