Death of Fr. Francis Morrisey
On May 25, 2020, Saint Paul University informed staff, students and alumni of the death of Fr. Francis Morrisey, OMI. He died on Saturday, May 23 at the age of 84 in Ottawa.
Fr. Morrisey, who served as Saint Paul University’s Dean of Canon Law from 1972 to 1981, offered important insights into the development of the department.

Born in Charlottetown, PEI, February 13, 1936, son of the late Col. E. J. Hodgson Morrisey and Lucy Coady, he is survived by one sister and two brothers, Joan St Germain (late Roy), Brian (Ann), and James (Marie), predeceased by one brother, Hodgson (Hodge) who is survived by his wife Diana as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
