De Concordia inter Codices: Harmony and Disharmony

In Pope Francis' recent motu proprio, De Concordia inter Codices, he seeks to achieve a harmony between the Latin and Eastern Codes regarding a number of pastoral norms. This webinar will look at the Latin norms affected and look at whether or not a certain disharmony remains between the two Codes of the Church as a result of the Pope's motu proprio.

Biography

Fr. Jobe Abbass, OFM Conv. was born in Sydney, NS, on January 27, 1952. A member of the Conventual Franciscans' Our Lady of the Angels Province (USA), he was ordained to the priesthood in Albany, New York, on May 25, 1985. He first taught as a professor in the Faculty of Canon Law, Pontifical Oriental Institute, Rome, from 1992 until 2004. From 2004 until the present, Fr. Abbass has been a full professor in the Faculty of Canon Law, Saint Paul University, Ottawa, Canada.
