holds a B.A. in Philosophy, a M.A. in Civil Law; a S.T.D. in Dogmatic Theology and a J.C.D. He was ordained a priest by Saint John Paul II on 24 June 1979 and has lectured widely. He is an expert on penal, matrimonial, and procedural law and is experienced in issues of psychological and structural abuse.

studied Philosophy and Theology at the University of Malta and specialized in Canon Law and Jurisprudence at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He was awarded the Emerging Scholar Theological Book Prize of the European Society for Catholic Theology for 2017-2018. Schembri is a member of the Safeguarding Review Board of the Maltese Episcopal Conference, and ecclesiastical assistant to the Society of Christian Doctrine.

Claudia Mariéle Wulf Dr. phil., Dr. theol. habil.,

is the director of the Centre for Safeguarding of Minors and Vulnerable Persons. Her research focusses on philosophical anthropology, moral subjects and epistemology in ethics and research. She writes on professional ethics; the recent focus lies on abuse and on all forms of vulnerability, on the outcomes of traumatic experiences and on the phenomenon of narcissism.
