Congratulations to Julie Daigle and Paul Katase, winners of the 2018 Ottawa City Union of the International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons Scholarship

Congratulations to Julie Daigle and Paul Katase, who each took home a $1,250 scholarship from the Ottawa City Union of the International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons (IOKDS) Scholarship Fund. This award is available annually to students enrolled in the master’s or doctoral Counselling and Spirituality program, whose mission and vision for the future aligns well with that of the IOKDS.

“It is with great joy and gratitude that I accept the Ottawa City Union of the IOKDS Scholarship,” said Julie Daigle on learning that she was one of this year’s recipients. “It goes without saying that studies, in and of themselves, can pose great challenges to students and can sometimes require them to spend more than they earn or have saved. The scholarship the King’s Daughters and Sons have made possible will help ease the financial pressures that arise as a result of my pursuit of higher education.”

Special thanks to the International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons for their ongoing support. Through the generosity of donors like the IOKDS, we are able to offer a number of bursaries and scholarships to students in need.
