Chantal Beauvais Recognized for Outstanding Leadership in the Academic Sphere
Chantal Beauvais, Rector of Saint Paul University and former Vice-President of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU), was awarded with the IFCU’s Ex Corde Ecclesiae Medal during their 27th General Assembly held in Boston on August 2nd.
“I am honored to be named one of the recipients of this prestigious award,” expressed Ms. Beauvais. “To have our accomplishments and perseverance recognized in front of a room full of one’s peers is always a pleasant experience. However, this award is more than a nod to the achievements of an individual. It is demonstrative of the collective leadership required for a postsecondary institution to flourish. It is a tribute the hard work, dedication, and passion of my many colleagues who ensure that our students acquire the tools they need to not only succeed in life, but to help those around them succeed.”
The Ex Corde Ecclesiae Medal is awarded to individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership in the academic sphere and engagement towards the IFCU. Saint Paul University would also like to congratulate this year’s two other recipients, Fr. William P. Leahy, President of Boston College, and Loïc Roche who is responsible for the IFCU’s Communication and Training Department.
