The Sophia Research Centre  - Bursaries

The Sophia Research Centre (formerly the Centre for Women and Christian Traditions) congratulates all the following recipients of bursaries since 2005. We are privileged to be able to support such promising academics. We are proud of their accomplishments.

2019

The Sophia Centre is proud to offer 2 bursaries of $1,000 each again this year.

2018

The Sophia Centre Bursaries were awarded to:

The Bursary of the Centre Women and Christian Traditions of $2500 was awarded to:

  • Haylay Lopes (second-year student, Master of Arts in Conflict Studies, Faculty of Human Sciences)

The Bursary Filles de la Sagesse of $5000 was awarded to:

  • Marie-France Proulx (second-year student in the Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality, Faculty of Human Sciences).

The Presentation Sisters of Newfoundland and Labrador bursary of $5000 was awarded to:

  • Katherine MacDonald (second-year doctoral student, Faculty of Theology)
