Conflict Studies examines the sources and dynamics of conflicts and conflict resolution. We analyze the political, religious, social, and psychological aspects of conflicts at the local, national, and international levels. Specific courses look at identity, memory, and trauma. We study violent, nonviolent, humanitarian, and diplomatic responses to conflicts, as well as reconciliation and peacebuilding.

Offered by the Faculty of Human Sciences, a formation in Conflict Studies provides students with a multidisciplinary approach that includes elements of political science, social psychology, and ethics.

NEW – Saint Paul University now offers a Certificate in Conflict Resolution.
