Glasmacher Lectures
As the result of a bequest to Saint Paul University, the lecture supports leading scholars whose body of work contributes to the areas of excellence of the University. The lecture is foremost a deeper understanding of a theme or a scholarly overview of a research question or a current social issue. It casts an incisive look on society, its transformations and its upheavals in order to draw of paths of critical thinking discussed jointly with the participants.
The lecture provides a venue for critical thinking on social issues and emerging questions that foster the development of research programmes, research teams and the creation of research groups or centres. The theme of the conference should engage academia while contributing to knowledge mobilisation geared at new students, the community and decision-makers.
