Tenure-track Position

Saint Paul University, a Catholic, bilingual institution of higher learning federated with the University of Ottawa, seeks to promote excellence in teaching, research and professional formation at the international, national and local levels.

The Faculty of Philosophy invites applications for a senior professor position with specialization in ethics and political thought.

Nature of the position:

• Teaching at all levels (undergraduate and graduate);
• Carrying out a research program in the field of ethics;
• Academic support of graduate students;
• Participation in various Faculty and University committees.

Salary:

• Salary and possibility of promotion in keeping with the norms of Saint Paul University;
• Rank: Associate Professor or Full Professor

Starting date:

July 2013

Deadline for applications:

Requirements:

• Doctorate in Philosophy, Political Science or a related field;
• Area of specialization: Ethics (open)

- In-depth knowledge of ethical foundations, theories and methods.

• Areas of expertise: 2 or more of the following areas

- Feminism, governance, political thought, ethics: business, administration and organization, research, health, technology, human rights.

• Full bilingualism (English/French): written and oral comprehension.
• Excellent publication record.
