Description:

Emotional Intelligence is a very well known concept that is currently being used as the framework for much of the education of social/emotional learning as well as leadership development. Whether we want to be a more influential leader, increase our ability to manage change, be a better parent or simply be better at what we do and who we are, emotional intelligence is at the centre of it all.

This workshop will review the concepts of emotional intelligence while highlighting the links to the new field of affective neuroscience. The recent research on the brain’s functioning gives us new insights on how we can further develop the much-needed personal and social skills outlined by emotional intelligence.
