I-          Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program (OGS)

Who It’s For:

Students in 2- or 3-term graduate studies at the master’s or doctoral level

Type of Aid:

Scholarship

Amount of Aid:

$5,000 per term, to a maximum of $15,000

Who Can Apply:

  • Students in their last year of their undergraduate program
  • Students in their master's program
  • Students in their Ph.D. program

Deadlines:

The deadline to apply is passed.

You must apply through Saint Paul University. SPU sets its own internal deadline and will evaluate internally all the applications (through the bursary committees) before submitting them.

CGS Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplements
A tri-agency program to support Canadian graduate students as they build global linkages and international networks through exceptional research experiences at research institutions outside of Canada.

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships 

To provide support for Canadian and international students undertaking doctoral studies at Canadian universities.

The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS) program is administered by Canada's three federal granting agencies: the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.

The Vanier CGS program aims to attract and retain world-class doctoral students by supporting students who demonstrate both leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities, natural sciences and engineering, and health sciences. Canadian and international students are eligible to be nominated for a Vanier CGS.

Vanier CGSs are valued at $50,000 per year, for up to three years.

Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships 

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program is administered by Canada's three federal granting agencies: the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council.

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program aims to attract and retain top-tier postdoctoral talent, both nationally and internationally, to develop their leadership potential and to position them for success as research leaders of tomorrow, positively contributing to Canada’s economic, social, and research-based growth through a research-intensive career.

Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships are valued at $70,000 per year (taxable) for two years.
