Relationships Matter presents: Internet and Porn Addictions, and its Impact on Relationships

Internet, Gaming, and Porn Addiction, and its Impact on Relationships

Presenter: Michael Browning, MA

When on-line gets out of line, the internet, gaming, and porn addiction can have negative impact on relationships. Countless hours are lost to the “trance” addicts undergo as they obsess with their ritual, the images or activities that stimulate them. Intimacy is diminished and partners can either feel used or pushed away. Families suffer financially when large sums of money are spent on sex websites, or when the addict is fired for inappropriate behaviour at work. Whatever label some people might like to put on this problem, we will explore this in this presentation and look at the impact on relationships in family and marriage, and how healing can be found.
