Ottawa, Canada's National Capital
Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, is located in the province of Ontario in the northeast part of North America. Nestled at the junction of three waterways – the Rideau River, Rideau Canal and Ottawa River – Ottawa is considered one of the most beautiful national capitals. On the other side of the Ottawa River are the city of Gatineau and the picturesque Outaouais region.
Ottawa is accessible by airplane, by train, by bus and by car. With a population of more than 1.2 million, Ottawa is Canada's fourth-largest city. It is a vibrant city, with museums, fine restaurants, world-class shopping, heritage sites, festivals, cultural activities, attractions and natural wonders.
