Saint Paul University has its own chaplain or coordinator of pastoral services. You will find his office in room 153 close to the reception desk. The chaplaincy and the student association work in close collaboration to provide a hospitable, stimulating and convivial environment for all students.

The monthly chaplain’s coffee is a popular event, and everyone is invited. Each month the event is sponsored by a different faculty or service from the University and seeks to encourage informal encounters between students, professors and support staff.

Participation in our liturgies is encouraged. Roman Catholic, Anglican, Orthodox and Ukrainian Catholic Eucharistic celebrations as well as morning prayers are offered. All are invited to explore ways to integrate the great richness of our liturgical celebrations in order to grow in the knowledge and appreciation of a wider experience of communal prayer. Each week, ecumenical night prayer is facilitated by a different denomination. Also a Christian Meditation group meets every Wednesday noon. Other liturgies and prayer opportunities are held as well, punctuated by special events and the rhythm of the academic year.

Pastoral initiatives are encouraged and volunteers are appreciated. For example, we are now creating different opportunities to act on ones Christian faith and oblate values through community and international volunteer opportunities.

The chaplain is available to anyone wishing to meet him: feel free to stop him in the hallways, see him in his office (room 153), or schedule an appointment by calling 613-236-1393 extension 2272.
